Uppity Blues Women
Years ago I thoroughly enjoyed following a blues band called, “Saffire, The Uppity Blues Women.” The band is three talented women who write and perform both traditional and contemporary blues songs.
One of my favorite classic blues songs that I heard was, “Is You Is, Or Is You Not My Baby?”
This year turned out to be their 25th anniversary as a band and they decided that this was a good time to call it quits. So they put out one last album, “Havin the Last Word,” and had a comprehensive legacy tour.
I had not heard that this was going to be their farewell tour, and now it is too late to see them one last time. Bummed.
