This morning I was so surprised to see some spring crocus blooming in my yard that I came back inside the house and got my camera.Usually the Winter is too cold for them to bloom until mid-March. Here it is the end of January and the temperature hit 73 degrees before the cold front came in. This time of year the temperatures should only be in the 40′s or even 30′s, so no wonder the poor flowers are confused into blooming too early.
The morning light was coming across the slight hill and making the petals glow white with just a tinge of purple. I found this one crocus blooming off to the side by itself. So I made sure to not get in the way of the sunlight and snapped this photo. I like to think of it as hope for an early Spring.
